Ouch! This is a rough one, but as always I do have an opinion.
My vote on long lake is the top photo. The blue sky and dark blue of the mountains make for a stronger range of values.
On the waterfall, well call me stuck in a rut, but I really love the bottom picture. I know it is standard from the front, but the light and color look so nice, and given that I have some 100 billion pictures of that fall that don't look even close, I think it really captures it.
Ok, I'm going to go back for a second look and see if I change my mind.
On second look, well I'm convinced I'm a genius. (:
My opinion, for what it is worth, stays the same.
They are all great shots, but the top and bottom for me are the stand outs.
Good luck choosing, I know you have a lot of great ones to weed through.
I had made up my mind before I saw Celiac's response. But, amazingly they are the same, but for different reasons. I like #1 because there are less dead trees and also like the composition a little more. Though the second one is quite lovely too. And #4 because - Hey, why settle for one when you can get 3? Actually, there is just SO many fine little details in it that you can look at it for a long time and see something new every time.
I don't know how you can EVER choose because you have SO many amazing shots!
I can't wait to see it!
I like #2 and #3. I don't know why, that's just what I like.
Spencer & I like #2 and #4. No specific reasons just that's what we like.
