We went on a hike up lower cedar creek on saturday. Never been up there in the winter, we have no snow to speak of so it was not to bad of a hike. Put one on twice and i don't how to take it off. Oh well to bad so sad.

We went for a little ride up on the mine
hill last weekend. We were looking for deer and kind of looking for a christmas tree. Found a tree,but no deer. The clouds were kind of cool on lost river peak so i took a few shots.

I saw my moose buddy again, this time he was at the upper end of the dam. He was busy following the cow in the first picture. That is ice frozen on them if you couldn't tell. The other shots are from behind phi kappa camp ground.

Not much to shoot last weekend. it was cold and gray all weekend. The mountains were all socked in. The one mountain is dickey peak just in case you didn't know. the other one i am sure you all know.

The last weekend of sept. we went over to arron and amyjo's for the weekend and we went to silver city idaho. It has a lot of old building but most of them are private property so you can't go in them. It was fun to go there once. I don't know if i would go back.

We went to wallace over labor day weekend and did the same bike trail that aaron and amy joe and their kids did. The first picture is of the first tunnel we went through it is 1.7 miles long and very dark . With water running down both sides. You get to go through it on the way back to. It was a good time.

Last weekend mike,amy and kids came up for easter.On saturday we took the kids to the easter egg hunt. They all did very well. That afternoon we went up lower cedar creek to see how far up we could make it. there were a lot of avalanches that went all the way across the whole canyon. They were any where from ten to forty feet deep.We did make it about 80% of the way.

Friday afternoon,
after work we went for a evening ride up pass creek. The pictures are from the summit. It was the only bit of blue sky all week. One of the pictures is from sunday morning and is the head of black daisy canyon taken from our front step. The swans are me just seeing what a new lens i have will do.

Saturday we went up wildcat canyon to the wildhorse lookout. It was cloudy (again) windy and rain on us, but was fun anyway.We started a fire to warm up before we came back down. Not a good picture taking day ,but tried some anyway.

Peg and i went for a ride saturday to look for some fall colors. We went up and did the basin loop. The colors were much better than last year. Should have went a few days before to get them at their peak.

Peg and i went on a little hike last saturday afternoon up to iron bog lake. The wind blew most of the time. The lake got smooth for about one minute and it was cloudy most of the time. The one picture with blue sky was the only one of the day.

Peg and I were going to go on a hike up pete creek when we spotted these boys and our plans got changed.We spend the next hour and half getting up closer to them. It's not to often you see big horn in lost river since most of them died from a domestic sheep disease a few years ago.

These pictures are from last weekend. Went for a little ride up pete creek. If you look close at the second picture you can see some of the 100 plus elk we saw. the next picture is with the big lens. The rest of the pictures are just filler.

We went riding again last saturday. The pictures are from that ride. The slide that came down the canyon is around 12' deep at the end of it. The other one was a lot wider and went almost to the creek,which is about 200' from the hill. I've never seen so many slides. It was a very nice day!!!

Randy and i went riding saturday up to Broad canyon, Starhope area in copper basin. The pictures are to show how deep we were sinking in the powder. One is of Randy stuck and taking a breather after we got him unstuck. If you look close on the mountain picture there is five snow slides. So we didn't do much climbing not that we could have.

We went up fall creek saturday after work to see the the falls looked like in winter. Someone thought i was nuts, but i already knew that. Don't know if it was worth it or not. The lower fall didn't even look like a water fall. The upper two were all right.

We went for a very short ride yesterday,up the mine hill. We made it to the milkrun road turn off and that was it. the snow was up to the middle of my knee and very slick!

O.K. I know i am way behind on the blog thing. I don't know wether to start with new pictures or go with some of the older ones. these are from our trip up lake creek in aug. One of each of the five lakes we went to, round lake, long lake ,big lake,golden lake and rough lake. That should be the order they are posted. That is snow at big lake.

For the last four or five week I have bee n working on a new kitchen . I'm almost done, it is useable again , all i have to do is put in the new floor and moulding. I haven't been doing much picture taking(kitchen and rain)so went for a little ride and found some wild flowers. I think the best flowers are yet to come. It should be a good wild flower year because of all the rain.

Peg and I went to Hood River OR. over mothers day weekend for a little get away . Took a few pictures of water falls ( around two hundred ) here are five of them. the side ways one was the highest at over 600'. Three of the others were all around 100' tall. the small one is about 30' tall. That picture turned out better than i thought it would , its hand held no tripod. Got lucky.

This tag thing really sucks, but there goes. Restaurant's Barclay's in Anaconda, MT. best steak ever. Sandpiper(lobster for peg and streak for me)for anniversary or birthdays .Maddox's in Brigham Ut. everything is good. Olive Garden, Iggy"s, Jack in the Box (ultimate cheese burger) last and least The Mine Hill Grill here in Mackay. TV shows in no particular order big break,big bang theory,sports center( most times in the middle of the night) the mentalist, travels to the edge(camera show on pbs), outdoor idaho also on pbs, the closer on tnt and jackass.(got ya ever even seen it. Things i did yesterday were pretty much all BORING, book work , waited customers, made 20+ phone calls, helped fixed mom and dads roof and clean up deer sh droppings. Wish list, more time with kids and grandkids, to have a full weeks vacation(2 weeks would be great), snowmachine the powder in revelstroke bc canada, play every golf course in idaho,take peg to hawaii, to run a computer without wanting to scream(swear), pay more attention to other people needs and now i've had enough thats it i'm done!!!

Peg and I went for a ride up park creek a week ago saturday.The picture of Peg and the sleds is in a large meadow up there. On the way out we went up Big Fall creek. I had to look at the water (ice ) fall. It's not so easy of a hike in winter! The other two pictures are from a ride at the head of antelope creek last tuesday. Kind of a cold ride that day . It was -13 when we left truck.

Aaron and Amy Jo came up for the weekend. They came up friday night so we went to the football game. It was descent game for a change Mackay won 34 to 20. I took alec and emily out for a four wheeler ride saturday and we found some choke cherry's that needed to be picked. So later that afternoon we went back and picked a few buckets full. Carter has changed a lot! It was fun to have them up for the weekend. The deer came for a visit sunday afternoon so i shot some of them. the last one is of green lake,we went up there last weekend. I have a few more picture's i'll put on later from up there.

Peg and I went to jackson hole over labor day weekend. saturday the weather was pretty good,but sunday and monday were not to good for taking picture's. the first four are from our trip the last one is from a ride this weekend. we found some spots in jackson I'd like to take some picture's from when the weather is better. we went on a long drive saturday into the frank church wilderness area. part of the picture's are from a fire from last summer. some are of older fire's. you can see the road in some of the picture's it follows ridge lines most the 30+miles to the end of the road. the lake picture are at the end of the road. it felt like the road was the never ending road. it was very smokey and windy that's why the picture's aren't very clear in the back ground.

the first two picture's are from a hike we did two weeks ago at upper cedar creek. hard hike not much of a trail. no trail most of the time. the #2 picture is a snow slide that the creek is running under,all the rocks are on top of the snow and ice. the last one is just messing around at the dam.

We went to boise last weekend to bless Carter. So the first one is the man of the hour. Then all of the grand kids. It is hard to get a picture with all of them looking the right way and looking good. It was a very nice day,the warmest day we have had since last year.

peg and I, went to Zions park the last weekend of march.we hiked all the trails you could do in a day .these are just a few of the picture's i took. I would like to go back in the fall some time and go to the other parks by Zions.
